Roy Thomas has cleared his own path by resorting to a style that is close to the 'yogic' modern paintings and at the same time fiercely individual in overtones. Though it is easy to classify his works as 'spiritual' for the strength of inscapes they produce, it is not fair to do so because it is not the 'spirit' that the artist wants to portray. He intends to bring out the psychology of a generation (or that of an individual from that generation) that is caught up between worlds of contradictions. Roy has been trying to do this by painting 'absences' for a few years. A recent shift happened in his works and the artist has moved towards a new vista where the love for life, the Eros does its eternal dance. The colours he uses show the passion of his findings.
