K.S. Radhakrishnan

Radhakrishnan as an artist carries the spirit of Santiniketan. The small and large scale works he executed both in India and abroad are widely appreciated for the positive message they disseminate. His series of sculptures based on the theme riksha-pullers in the streets of Calcutta, titled 'Song of the Road' brought him accolades. He mainly works in bronze and his commitment to the medium has taken him to the heights of creative expression. The sculpture shown in this page is a combination of two simple images: a box, and on top of it, a group of people. The artist seems to find order even in the utter chaos of human exisrence.
